We tend to take clean water for granted in North America. But ACTS knows that around the world, in places like Uganda, water is a precious commodity. Consider that the average Ugandan has to walk 6 kms per day to fetch water that may be filled with parasites and harmful bacteria.

Music lovers, lend your ears to Tech’s Got Talent. This lip synching competition will see 20 Vancouver tech companies battle for synchronized supremacy, all in support of Vancouver youth development charities.
The event takes place at 6:30 pm at the Five Sixty, with the goal of raising $50,000 for charities that empower youth to reach their full potential. Tickets are available for $10. Get your ticket!
This month, a father and his two teenage sons will ride over 4,400 kms along the legendary Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (from Banff, Alberta to Antelope Wells, New Mexico) in an effort to transform the lives of impoverished children in Malawi.
With a goal of raising $200,000 for homes and education, and already more than a quarter of the way there, the trio will attempt to climb nearly 70 vertical kms over the Rocky Mountains. That’s the equivalent of ascending Mount Everest from sea level seven times. It’s truly a gruelling bike race for a great cause. Help them reach their goal!
